German Christmas Cookies


German Chocolate Cookies

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 (18 1/4 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins
2 large eggs
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

In a mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mix, oats, butter and eggs. Mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips and raisins.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2" apart onto an ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 deegree F for 10-11 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes and remove to wire racks.



Rose Water Sugar Cookies - German Recipe

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsps rose water
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 tsps lemon extract
1 1/2 tsps vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup butter

Preheat oven to 325°.
Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
Beat in yolks and flavorings.
Combine sour cream and baking soda and stir into sugar mixture.
Add rose water.
Sift flour and salt and mix with batter.
Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake on greased sheets for 15-20 minutes.



German Christmas Cookie Recipe

3 egg whites, very stiff
1 lb salted red Spanish peanuts
1 cup sugar
3 tbsps flour

Grind peanuts in food chopper or processor.
Add stiffly beaten egg whites, sugar, and flour; stir to mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased and floured cookie sheets.
Bake at 300 deegree for 13-15 minutes.



German Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1 (18 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix, pudding included

Heat oven to 350° deegree.
In large bowl, combine all ingredients, blend well.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsful 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° F for 8-10 minutes or until set.
Cool 1 minute on sheet, and them remove to rack to cool completely.
